The brand started to gain momentum as people began requesting her candles, with word of her captivating creations spreading rapidly. Recognizing the potential of her 'little outlet,' Tara decided to formalize her passion into a business. On her youngest child Ruby's first birthday, she launched Ruby Lights, naming it after her daughter as a good luck charm for both the business and herself. This step was driven by her desire to work from home and spend more time with her children.

Years later, now rebranded, Ruby Lights has evolved, offering a modern, refined industrial edge to candles and other products. The brand has found its place in various shops and markets in Perth, Western Australia, and has established a network of wholesale stockists. Ruby Lights takes pride in being a handmade small business, dedicated to creating "something different" in luxurious and modern home decor.
