Alit Cosmetics started when Alit Caro started looking for makeup to cover her adult acne and found that all major makeup stores and brands where heavy coverage and not breakout friendly. Alit felt overwhelmed at having to use ten plus products every time she applied makeup. It would take her very long, and she would end up looking fake and unnatural. Alit wanted beautiful makeup that would let her natural beauty shine through without being caked onto her face. She was also looking for products that were as natural as possible.
Alit decided to create the makeup products that she was looking for - natural, Australian made, Eco friendly, toxin free, cruelty free and vegan.

The four pillars of Alit Cosmetics are:

A Complicated Process for Simple, Well Formulated Products

Alit Cosmetics creates small batches of products at their headquarters in North Perth.

Most of their products are created in a high-quality lab that mixes the products safely and in accordance with the tried and tested Alit Cosmetics Formula. This saves time logistically, as creating makeup takes significant time and comprehensive quality assurance.

Alit works on Alit Cosmetics full time and truly enjoys every minute of it.

Creating a Personal Connection in an Online World

The biggest challenge that Alit Cosmetics have faced to date is developing an online community and following. Alit has had to learn how to translate her personal energy and the history of her business, (which comes naturally when meeting customers at markets) into a story that is accessible online.

In the future, Alit is hoping for nation-wide growth while still staying true to the Alit Cosmetics values.
